The actual duration that a 7.5 litre oxygen cylinder will provide oxygen depends on several factors, including the flow rate at which the oxygen is administered and the patient’s specific oxygen requirements. The flow rate is usually measured in litres per minute (LPM). A higher flow rate will deplete the cylinder’s contents more quickly, while a lower flow rate will make the oxygen last longer.
